Nintendo Power’s Final Issue

On August 21, 2012, Nintendo announced that they would not be renewing their licensing agreement with Future Publishing, and that Nintendo Power would cease publication in December 2012 after 24 years. The first issue was published on July/August 1988 featuring the NES game Super Mario Bros. 2.
The last issue’s cover will be a nostalgic throwback to Nintendo Power’s original magazine and will feature New Super Mario Bros U. The final issue is expected to hit subscribers next month.

Nintendo Power was one of the longest-running video game magazines in the United States and Canada, and was Nintendo’s official magazine in North America. It will be missed ….

Xbox 360 black friday sales where nearly double Wii U’s launch

Microsoft has revealed that 750,000 Xbox 360 consoles were sold in the United States during the week of Black Friday. The number represents sales between Sunday, November 18th and Friday, November 23rd. This is nearly doubles the 400,000 Wii U consoles sold by Nintendo during the same week.

Wii Mini officially confirmed

Nintendo has officially confirmed the Wii Mini today, But the new version as exclusive to Canada through the holiday season. The press release says “no information is available about its potential availability in other territories in the future.” Priced at $99.99, the Wii Mini does not include Internet connectivity and isn’t compatible with GameCube discs. it comes with a red Nunchuk, a red Wiimote Plus controller, a sensor bar, power adapter, and standard composite cable.

Xbox Live turns 10 !!

Microsoft has announced that to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Xbox Live service, it would be sending its  subscribers that where there since day one a special console. Plus the rest of us get wreckateer for free today only.
